Vintage Systemdek IIX Turntable

Vintage Systemdek IIX turntable with Musichall speed controller in excellent condition.

The Systemdek IIX is made in Scotland & features a 3-point sprung chassis and AC synchronous motor. The sub-chassis is formed from a heavy steel plate, reinforced by an aluminium extrusion.

Fine results were obtained on audition. Stereo images were well focused, while good depth and midrange detail were evident. The bass was notable for it’s clean, even quality, showing good attack and tunefulness.

Linn Basic Tonearm

The LVX is the forerunner to the popular Akito tonearm.

The original arm features a straight arm tube with detachable headshell and calibrated tracking force and bias controls.

The updated LVX Plus has a fixed headshell for greater rigidity and reduced electrical connections, improved bearing housing and more rigidly coupled counterweight.

In my opinion the LVX has remained the best sounding arm at this price available – The Flat Response

The overall tonal balance was very satisfactory, and as a whole the stereo image was well defined with both depth and ambience –  HiFI Choice 1983

No doubt that this arm is a bargain at the price, offering a level of performance that many arms cannot match. Best with moving magnet cartridges – The Flat Response 1984
